Artist Call Out

Join our Artist Pool

We are currently developing a new pool of freelance artists to collaborate with us on a range of creative projects over the next year and beyond. If you're passionate about working with young people and co-creating exciting, socially engaged work, we’d love to hear from you.

See below for details on how to apply

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking artists and creative practitioners, working across a multitude of art forms, including but not limited to: Visual Arts, Theatre & Performance, Photography, Dance, Music, Film & Digital Media, Podcasting, Experimental & Interdisciplinary Practices

You don’t need to have previous experience in socially engaged practice, although this is preferred, just an interest in collaborating with young people aged 14-25, and a willingness to co-create meaningful, youth-led work.

Blaze offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, and we welcome artists at all stages of their development.

Our fees range from £200 - £350, depending on the nature of the work and project timescales.

Practitioner fees will always be made transparent as opportunities arise and we are committed to supporting artists and young people with fair pay.

Blaze is based in Lancashire, with many of our immediate projects taking place in Burnley. We are based at Creative Spaces in Burnley with our work taking place in a range of public, community, cultural and educational settings.

However, we are open to working with artists from further afield.
